Overview
Ardpore was founded durring the late 13th century in fall of the year 1164, by Gwoneth Lard. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Gwoneth Lard.
Ardpore was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ardpore is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Ardpore is buildings are arranged arround a network of crampt packed earth streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a renforced stone fence which sits atop earthwork defences, for some of the best inexpencive defences a town of Ardpore's size could have. Ardpore's well-designed, yet cheep has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.
A look around Ardpore makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had. Everyone quietly goes about their daily business not looking anyone in the eye.

Cultural Notes
Ardpore's citizens locals enjoy many vices and lustful appetites. They may have religious sanction for their deeds, or neighbors might trade with them for such things, or they could be followers of some ideology that blesses such pursuits. Their economy or their social organization is usually heavily reliant on such traffic, and to ensure its continuance they may have made bargains with various mortal and immortal powers.
Ardpore's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.
Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is skipped in Ardpore.
The Butterfly/Moth near Ardpore are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.
Ardpore's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves consuming a local narcotic to channel Necromancy energies of tier 2 via oratory performances.
